Finally a contest for emcees who's only crime is they can paint pictures effortlessly. The disclaimer I give every artist who comes in for our monthly contest conducted every last Thursday of the month is come correct. You are given 15 minutes to werk on thirty two bars with a professional engineer in a real session. Real session meaning you can punch in, stack your vocals, insert ad libs, and more. Whatever you gotta do to make your 32 bars legit is what we are focused on.

Let me paint the picture for you. A super talented musician which you don't know of hands you their cd. They suggest you support the arts by handing them any amount of money. The CD is written in sharpie and clearly zero visuals presented. You may decide to give them a few bucks but have no interest in playing the cd at all. It just so happens the project is undeniably good but you never pressed play because nothing grabbed your attention to do so. Meet the issue of many today. A failure to give attention to the cover art is a deciding factor for many across the world.

Today music generates money when it's played rather than when it is purchased. This is the new business for the music industry. The first week sales don't tell the story of the future success of the release. The earning span of the project is where the opportunity to win big comes in. I never understood the conversations of discussing what an album sales it's initial week anyway. It's an issue to find a complete project you will tolerate from beginning to end today so the game has been altered.

Producers looking for an opportunity and exposure should get involved with That Tight Thirty Two On Thurzdayz contest. The event benefits both producers and emcees. Producers must submit three wav files for review. The staff selects which producer has the best three tracks. If selected the producer is invited to attend the session and watch multiple emcees spit over their production. The producers can exchange contact info and build a relationship with the talented emcees for future collaborations. Put some definition to your sound!

The reason the city of Atlanta continues to thrive in the realm of music involves the extensive networking happening daily. Patchwerk Recording Studios knows a thing or two about the process. If you actually have a plan with realistic goals, you can make quite a path for yourself.
