Which genres were most dominant in United States from 2017? Things aren't always as they appear to be. This fact of life is evident in the recent reveal by British music streaming service Mixcloud display of "most searched for" music genres in the US during 2017. The genres are broken down by individual state in a music map. More than ten different genres are mentioned.

The dominant genre was Hip hop reigning supreme over states such as New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Minnesota, Virginia, and Idaho. Some of you may wonder about the particular states but I tell clients often you never know where your music will be welcomed. I wonder who will look at this and create a strategy to connect with the residents of these states? Your fanbase awaits you.

Next up we find Deep house was swallowed up in Florida, Montana, North Dakota, and Iowa. Deep house merges Chicago house, jazz funk, and Detroit techno. Typically it is hard to define but recognized when it is played. If you are a fan of the genre please drop a comment below.

Last of the three being bass belong to Illinois, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. Further study shows a wide range of diversity here in America. Use this info to connect with your core audience. If this is the line from just one platform, imagine what the world speaks to?
