R&B newcomer, Khalid, made his latest stop on his location tour in Atlanta, GA. Fans gathered at the Loft to see Khalid on his first tour ever.

El Paso native, Khalid made his debut in Atlanta last night singing his latest singles.

The stage was filled with live instruments, the lights beamed warm hues of blue and red. Khalid hit the stage shortly after 9 p.m. and began his set with his single, Let’s Go.

The crowd vibed to every word and his live sound was just as great as his recorded tracks. The audience was a very diverse crowd of every race, creed and age.

He continued with some other singles a few more songs, then surprised the audience with a cover of Frank Ocean’s song Lost. His guitarist ended the song with an amazing guitar solo. He engaged well with the crowd and authentically showed his youthful spirit.

Throughout the show, he told short snippets of him growing up as a son of military parents. Alas, he called El Paso, TX home because it was the place where he truly found his passion and sound as an artist.

Towards the end of show, he performed his most popular song, Location while his fans sang along to every word. He ended his performance with a sappy, but beautiful song, Coaster, an ode to his ex. Khalid announced the release of his debut album, American Teen set to release in early March.

At only 18-years-old, Khalid told his stories of typical teen love, but with an innovated sound and a soulful touch. With an old soul, but a young heart, Khalid’s sound is one to check out in 2017.

Below, you can hear Khalid’s latest singles and get a taste of what he’s bringing to modern R&B.
