Anything pushing the lost art of Artist Development is a win in my book. People need to see what it takes to succeed in a very competitive field. The acts have the opportunity to win a deal with Ross’ Maybach Music, Dream’s Radio Killa Records or to Roc Nation by Lenny S who serves as the SVP of A&R / Artist Management. What makes this all cool is the fact the show doesn't use the Hollywood set to make it appear they are werking. The backdrop for the competition is happening in REAL music environments in the city where it's fierce. Yes the ATL is just that and if you have visited Patchwerk Recording Studios then you already know how it goes down. We only want to create and produce the best quality music so was a great combination.
The criteria for which the artist are judged is based upon their ability to write original songs, record and perform them. Guest such as DJ Khaled, Meek Mill, and Bangladesh are brought in to be impressed by the competitors. Challenges and eliminations all lead up to finale performance showcase where Ross, The-Dream and Lenny S determine who’s getting signed to a major music label. Don't miss the airing of the first episode Wednesday July 26th, 2017!
VH1 and Patchwerk Recording Studios have werked together on numerous scenes for their programming. Check out clip featuring Rick Ross and Omarion on Love and Hip Hip.
