Sony Music Entertainment is now offering discounts on selected albums through a new app starting today(Aug 14). The United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland, have all been invited to the party following its successful launch in Germany earlier this year.

How can you make your live show performance better? Please understand jumping around on stage for however long your set doesn't qualify as quality either. Considering how money is made for artist/bands in today's music climate, the live show shouldn't be an afterthought.
Most artists understand the importance between a great producer and a great recording, but they fail to recognize the need for the same type of investment (time, energy, money) into their live show. What is the purpose of songwriting days on end, sleepless nights in the studio, and a few minutes before a show figuring out what songs you actually are going to perform? Seems a bit counter productive don't you think? It might be time to change your mind. Producing your live show is an investment that will pay off tremendously. Watch the merchandise sales go up, more bookings become readily available and it's the best marketing tool because word of mouth is the best buzz!
The idea of merging Drake, Lil Wayne, and Capcom together is genius. Taking two of the biggest names in today's hip hop world and an iconic video game spells cash money. Literally.
The concept for the Capcom-sponsored tour is complemented by a new iOS and Android app — also called Drake vs. Lil Wayne —that determines how the tour plays out.
This could be the beginning of something special with an artist vs artist concept. The fan experience at any event is beyond important. It is what will lead the next fan in the other city to want to participate. Especially in a time today where the fan has to be kept engaged otherwise they lose interest quickly.
The file-sharing protocol, BitTorrent, has landed on iOS after years of being rejected.
Thanks to the diligent research developer that finally figured how to get through the insane piracy delaying Apple to grant the go ahead. The application is called Blue Downloader. It only allows users to access above-board torrent sites, most of which offer content within the public dominion. A few for example are BitTorrent's own Bundle, Bitlove(podcast archiving), Archive.org, Public Domain Flicks and Librivox.
Florida Georgia Line is on a roll with their amazing platinum certifications from the Recording Industry Association of America.
Figures recently released show in the month of July that their 2012 single "Cruise" has now hit eight-times platinum status. Their debut album "Here's to the Good Times" has crossed into double-platinum territory.
The honor of a platinum album award means shipments of over 1 million units in the U.S. Platinum singles are rewarded based on a combined total of 1 million units based on figures for digital sales and song streams.
The rate Florida Georgia Line's single "Cruise" is heading, it could reach the 10 million mark calling for the RIAA rarely seen Diamond certification. In January 2014, the song was named the best-selling country digital single of all time.
Iggy Azalea is having an excellent summer. The top two slots of Billboard's Summer Songs
chart have been "Fancy" and a guest spot on Ariana Grande's "Problem." Two more are slowly but surely rising with "Black Widow" featuring Rita Ora and guest feature on mentor T.I.'s single "No Mediocre."
The crossover into film and television has already begun for Azalea as well. Vin Diesel recently revealed she is set to film a cameo in Fast and Furious 7 due in 2015. MTV.com named Azalea host of House of Style also. She seems to have the model for success as a white female rapper and growing clout on tour. She will headline Budweiser’s Made in America Festival in Los Angeles and the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas which will only bolster her promising future.
